Check in sentence:

Frence Boiser: is working in the Philippines for 6-7 years and just began AVP workshops last year wth Kins, she’s our executive director. I am grateful I can connect with this level of international peace work.

Maxine Cooper – Please accept my regrets as I will be working in a school this morning and unable to join Skype meeting. You are all doing wonderful work. In peace. Maxine

Joe DiGarbo – may or may not be able to join the call. He will try if he can.

Jane Drexler – feeling better and busy setting up registration in Australia and resolving issues with FWCC.

Anne Eggleton – I will not be on the call but would like to send thoughts for love and hope with our young adult generation. We just returned from our oldest son’s wedding, and the couple’s commitment to peace, and to our environment, (they are both forestry consultants) is inspiring and so hopeful!

Nadine Hoover, had a wonderful week in Korea doing a trauma healing workshop, visit Daejon Meeting, and give a talk.

Gay Howard – working on an interest group for FPT at Pacific YM. Will definitely have a table. Keeping up with the discussions on donating in the YM. There are strong groups in the YM active in Central and South America that take up the focus of the YM. I’m trying to bring

Fenna Mandolang – really focused on how to be kind in difficult situations.

Valerie Joy  – experiencing difficulties with her equipment and is trying to join us.

John Michaelis – may or may not be able to join the call. He was unsure of the internet where he would be traveling in Nepal.

Petrus – Sends his regrets as he is busy finishing a project for work.

Jim Palmer – Helen and I went to West Papua with 6-7 Quakers, not with FPT, and met with people who are concerned that the W Papuan identity is being swallowed up by the larger systems. Helen and I will be going again in May.

Nick Rozard – going well here in Alfred, working hard on the water filters. The work is very engaging I’m trying to figure out what price I can sell the water filters and it looks like we may get a very reasonable price.

Deb Wood – Traveling with John to Nepal, so unavailable.

Kins Aparece – met with Ludwig last week, we are planning a workshop in a detention center and women’s advocates, with university students and a youth group. We are looking forward to Valerie and Sally’s visit in June.

Ludwig bon Quirog – I just returned from Cebu where I attended a birthday, a funeral and spoke about interfaith peace work and I’m working with Kins on organizing.

Dwight Burton – it’s been awhile since I’ve been able to join, but glad to be here.

Questions and Feedback on News and Updates:

In addition to the regular tasks of posting news and maintaining communications, there was a lot of email this month and then a short email outage that needed to be worked through so the office work category may look higher than typical.
